I've been a reader of Ché and Fidel for a while now and have just joined in her 52 Project which is as simple as taking a portrait of your baby or child once a week for a year. I thought it would be a good challenge to improve my photography skills (I am determined to do this on my proper camera and not iPhone).
I'm a little late to the party but here's my first go. Here's hoping I look back towards the end of the year and am astounded at my photography! More likely I'll be astounded at how much Amelie has grown but either way I like the idea.
Amelie is constantly on the move these days so taking a photo that isn't blurry is a little tricky. I love profile shots in general but especially ones of my baby because her nose is just too cute! I'm not convinced about the colours of this shot (white balance issues maybe?) and I think it could be sharper but other than that I'm happy with it ;)
There's a couple of days left if you want to join in here. I think Jodi was a little surprised at the popularity of this project!

Although my first shot was a quick scramble with the iPhone to capture a moment, I'm determined to use my camera more too, to capture those growing up moments. Excited to get going and looking forward to this weekly project with the group :) x
